I'm Bertram, a product designer from Copenhagen.

Pressional life

I work as a product designer at Skatteguiden, a #1 App Store app in Denmark, where we help our 1 mio. users feel more in control of their finances and avoid financial stress.

Before that, I wrote a Master's thesis with Saxo Bank, one of Denmarks largest investment banks. I have also worked as a user researcher with the Danish Business Authority on their user platform, and developed online platforms for industry-leading golf simulation company Trackman.

I’m endlessly curious about what drives behavior and motivation. Even in the most complex projects, I believe succesful outcomes have the user at its core, but is pragmatic in terms of business goals and timeline.

I currently work at Skatteguiden, where I help our 1 mio. users understand their taxes, feel more in control and avoid financial stress.

Background

I have always loved numbers. I am endlessly curious about what drives behavior and motivation. This has led me to the personal finance space, working across membership projects, payment solutions, and dashboards. I have a Master's degree in Digital Design and Interactive Technology from the IT University and have had formal design training.

I have 3 years of experience in the financial domain, and love numbers. This led to a Master Thesis collaboration with Saxo Bank and a partnership with The Danish Business Authority.

Off the clock

When I'm not pondering a product decision, I am working on a mobile game 🕹️, going to a concert 🎸 or eating an outrageously priced BMO 🥯.

Master's Thesis

2025 – 2025

Interviewed retail investors and launched a rigorous large-battery survey of 450+ participants, identifying several psychometric variables affecting trading behavior — collaborated with Head of User Insights and Head of UX, earning highest grade and presenting findings to department heads.

Surveyed 140 users, interviewed product team and stakeholders, then delivered a prototype of user role management features tested with users and presented to 20+ team members.

2023 – 2024

Transitioned two customer portals to a new design system for sports analytics products (Golf, Baseball, American Football) and initiated a research initiative systematically connecting UX team to customer support feedback.

Built a design system and shipped a website for a Børsen Gazelle-winning ERP provider, achieving 15% traffic growth and 20% longer sessions — brand assets still in use 3+ years later.
